Tropical Journeys is locally owned and operated by Graham and Cathie Jones. They have been running Calypso Charters' snorkel, dive and sail vessels in Port Douglas for 10 years.

In July 2008 the Jones family purchased Deluxe Safaris, an established Daintree tours operator of twenty years. Rebranded "Daintree Tours by Deluxe Safaris", the tours offer guests the unique, luxury rainforest day tours to the Daintree & Cape Tribulation Rainforests.

Calypso Charters has been awarded an Advanced Ecotourism Certification by committing to the ‘best practice’ procedures.
